Take Wing was commissioned for the 'Shot by the Sea' festival in Hastings. It is a collaborative, two screen, stereoscopic video that taps into romantic notions of flight and the desire to engineer solutions.

The work combines Gavin Peacock's love of modular construction and flat pack, and Brian McClave's fascination with stereoscopy and fondness for constructing ad hoc camera equipment.

On one screen 3D time-lapse of the fabrication of a model glider can be seen from the point of view of the artists constructing it. The other screen shows 3D footage from the inaugural flight of the glider with cameras attached to the wings. For further info see Gavin's extensive website or see the festival info here.
